 The Mexican Butterfly Weed or Asclepias curassavica is a flowering plant that bears brightly-colored and uniquely-shaped flowers that resemble butterflies. It is endemic to the American tropics.

 Other common names: Blood-flower, Scarlet Milkweed and Tropical Milkweed
